Interlibrary Loan

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

Since we can not have very book you might want, we are part of a state-wide borrowing system called inter-library loan.  If you don't find the book you are looking for just ask us to try to get it from another library.  We have access to almost all the public libraries in the state (over 400) and all the university and college libraries.  There is a computerized data base where we can look up the title you are seeking and find out if it is available for borrowing.  We then request the title through the computer and the lending library will then mail it to us.  There is a $2.50 fee for this service to help defray our postage costs when we mail the item back its' home library.

Please don't hesitate to ask us about borrowing from another library.  It is a service all libraries are pleased to be able to offer.
